Merusaka Nusa Dua Bali, a five-star beachfront resort, is currently seeking a talented and passionate person to fill the position of:
1. Sous Chef Pastry
General requirement:
- Minimum Diploma in culinary arts, pastry & bakery, or related field
- At least 3-5 years of experience in pastry or bakery operations, preferably in luxury hotels or fine-dining environments
- Proven experience supervising pastry teams or serving in a senior pastry role
- Strong knowledge of classical and modern pastry techniques, including desserts, cakes, breads, and plated presentation
- Ability to develop, test, and execute innovative dessert menus aligned with luxury brand standards
- Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with executive chef and other kitchen sections
- Capable of managing daily pastry production, scheduling, task delegation, and quality control
- Strong sense of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP knowledge preferred)
- Able to work under pressure, multitask, and maintain consistency in a fast-paced 5-star environment
- Positive attitude, teamwork oriented, and flexible working hours including weekends and holidays
